Eso no es trabajar

Anoticiada por  Directo al paladar me enteré de la existencia de este trabajo (que parece ser tan desagradable como aquel de monitorear la gran barrera de coral australiana). Curiosa, investigué un poco más y encontré  tanto la búsqueda original en Linkedin como un video institucional que me dejó pensando: ¿Seré capaz de ser feliz e integrarme al mundo circundante si no consumo productos Mondelez?



El trabajo de nuestros sueños existe, está disponible y se llama
"probador profesional de chocolate"
Pocas veces en la vida se cruza ante nosotros la oportunidad de convertirse en probador profesional de chocolate. De hecho, no recordamos haber visto ni leído nada parecido jamás, pero hoy la cosa cambia y lo hace con la empresa Mondelēz International, propietaria de Cadbury, como protagonista y su oferta de trabajo de ensueño.El chocolate es un bocado sencillamente irresistible para muchos y el número de
devotos de los bombones, las tabletas y otras golosinas esparcidos a lo largo y ancho del planeta alcanza cifras millonarias. Por ello es más que seguro que Mondelēz International no tenga el más mínimo problema a la hora de cubrir estas vacantes tan especiales: probadores de chocolate y bebidas de cacao. Puede sonar a guasa y si hoy fuese el día de los inocentes muchos pensaríais que
se trata de una broma, pero no es el caso. Esta seductora propuesta de trabajo es tan cierta como que hoy es viernes y unos pocos afortunados van a poder hacerla suya. Pero ¿qué requisitos se necesitan para conseguirlo? Además de pasión por la confitería en general, la empresa exige honestidad para ofrecer opiniones, ganas de probar nuevos e imaginativos productos y una personalidad comunicativa.
Como vemos, ser un glotón, un goloso empedernido o un chocoadicto puede ayudar a conseguir una de las vacantes disponibles, pero no es el único requisito que hay que cumplir. A esto le sumamos que es necesario dominar el inglés y vivir en Reading (Reino Unido) o, al menos, tener previsto trasladarse pronto allí. Punto a su favor: no se requiere experiencia previa alguna. La oferta de empleo se ha hecho pública a través del perfil oficial de Mondelez Internacional en LinkedIn. Se trata de un sueño a tiempo parcial del que no
parece posible vivir en exclusiva por el momento. El horario de siete horas y media a la semana lo hace un poco complicado, aunque no se sabe sí la compensación económica demostrará lo contrario. Eso sería de matrícula de honor.

The job will take place at the Mondelez/ RSSL (Reading Scientific Services Limited) building situated on Whiteknights campus in Reading.
This position will take place in the Consumer Science discussion rooms and sensory booths. The role will be working alongside approx. 11 panellists and a panel leader.
Please be aware this is a part time position, to work 7.5 hours per week Tuesday-Thursday 12:15-2.45pm.
Key Responsibilities

  • Be able to taste chocolate and cocoa beverage products and give objective and honest feedback.
  • Work within a team of panelists to share opinions and collaborate to reach an agreement on taste.
  • Use a clearly defined vocabulary to describe products and aid in the discrimination between products.
  • Be consistent in the results given.
  • Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; raise questions and concerns when faced with an ethical or compliance issue; apply integrity in all aspects of professional conduct.
  • Chocolate tasters are key in helping Mondelez perfect and launch an entirely new product all over the world.

  • Honesty when it comes to giving an opinion
  • Eager to try new inventive products
  • A communicative personality to build great relationships with your panel
  • A firm grasp of the English Language
